LESSON 2: View Current Messages
![]() The Concierge Assistant Messaging system is built on the ability to send three distinct types of messages: Plain Text, Event Notifications, and Logbook Messages. This is a Plain Text message. We show you how to create this type of message in Lesson 2. Plain text and Event Notification messages have a "Daybook Icon" When you receive a message sent to you (and not to a Message Group) you have two options. You may select "Remind Me Again" which will send the message to you at the date and time you select; or you may select "Read and Acknowledged" to indicate that you have read the message. If you select the latter option the message will be written to your message grid and will be available for viewing as long as you are logged on to your current session. |
![]() This is an Event Notification message. We show you how to create this type of message in Events Lesson 2. At the bottom of every message is a checkbox with a label that says "Defer Presentation of Remaining Messages Until the Next Message Cycle". This is useful if you are busy with a guest and you have several messages to read. If you check this box and respond to the message all remaining messages will be sent on the next message cycle. The Concierge Assistant checks for new messages every 5 (five) minutes. |
![]() This is an Logbook message. We show you how to create this type of message in Logbook Lesson 2. Here you notice that there is a additional button labeled "Tell All Other Concierges that I have Completed this Request". Pressing this button is the equivalent of pressing the "Read and Acknowledged" button with an additional feature. This will change the unread messages all other concierges receive to look like the next message. |
![]() This message contains text to let everyone who reads the message know that the request has already been completed by a previous recipient. |
![]() This is an example of the Message Display. Plain Text and Event Notification Messages appear in the top grid. Logbook Messages appear in the bottom grid. You may double-click on any message in the bottom grid to see the Logbook entry for the message. You may click on any message in the top grid and the full text will appear as in: |
